Das Bauteil befindet sich im Computertomografen auf einem Drehteller und wird von R\u00f6ntgenstrahlen durchleuchtet. Diese treffen zuerst auf Bauteil und danach auf einen Detektor, der ein 2D-Schnittbild des Bauteils erstellt. Anschlie\u00dfend rotiert der Drehteller ein kleines St\u00fcck und ein weiteres R\u00f6ntgenbild wird erzeugt. Die Wurzeln dieser Technologie reichen bis in das sp\u00e4te 19. Jahrhundert zur\u00fcck. 1895 entdeckte Wilhelm Conrad R\u00f6ntgen die R\u00f6ntgenstrahlen. Kurze Zeit sp\u00e4ter wurden R\u00f6ntgenaufnahmen bei medizinischen Anwendungen eingesetzt \u2013 zum Beispiel, um einen Arm zu durchleuchten und einen Knochenbruch zu lokalisieren.<strong> Der CT-Scanner selbst, der auf dieser medizinischen Anwendung von R\u00f6ntgenstrahlen basiert, wurde 1972 von Godfrey Hounsfield erfunden.<\/strong><\/p><p>In den 2000er Jahren wurden CT-Scanner f\u00fcr industrielle Zwecke umfunktioniert. Wissenschaftler stellten fest, dass die Ger\u00e4te nicht nur 3D-Modelle von Menschen aufnehmen k\u00f6nnen, sondern dass die Technologie auch f\u00fcr die Erfassung von Bauteilen genutzt werden
