  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to demand restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection in accordance with Art. 21 para. 1 DSGVO, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests outweigh the interests of the parties concerned, you have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

Server Log Files

The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. This data is recorded on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of their website—for this purpose—the server log files must be recorded.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, insofar as your inquiry is connected with the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO) or with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO), provided that the inquiry was made. The data entered by you in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was stored ceases to apply (e.g., after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected.

Inquiry by Email, Telephone or Fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your inquiry, including all personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent. This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, provided that your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO) and/or on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us. The data sent to us by you via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—in particular statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.

Newsletter

To receive the newsletter offered on our website, you can register using our form. We use the so-called Double-Opt-In procedure. Here, a confirmation email is first sent to your specified email address with the request for confirmation. The registration becomes effective only when you click on the activation link contained in the confirmation email. We use your data transmitted to us exclusively for sending the newsletter, which may contain information or offers.

We use Mailchimp to send out our newsletter. Your data will, therefore, be transmitted to Mailchimp. In doing so, Mailchimp is not allowed to use your data for other purposes than for sending the newsletter. Mailchimp is not allowed to pass on or sell your data. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, e.g., via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

  • Social Media

eRecht24 Safe Sharing Tool

The content on this website can be shared in social networks such as Facebook, Twitter or Google+ in accordance with data protection regulations. This site uses the eRecht24 Safe Sharing Tool for this purpose. This tool establishes direct contact between the networks and users only when the user actively clicks on one of these buttons. Clicking on the button represents consent in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. This consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. This tool does not automatically transfer user data to the operators of these platforms. If the user is registered with one of the social networks, an information window appears when using the social media buttons of Facebook, Google+1, Twitter & Co. in which the user can confirm the text before sending it. Our users can share the contents of this page in social networks in compliance with data protection regulations without having to create complete browsing profiles by the operators of the networks.

  • Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the use of this analysis tool are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the analysis of user behavior to optimize both their website and their advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time.

IP Anonymization: We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. As a result, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.

Browser Plugin: You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Objection to Data Collection: You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent the collection of your information on future visits to the site: Disable Google Analytics. For more information about how Google Analytics treats user information, please see the Google Privacy Policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

Order Processing: We have reached an agreement for order processing with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic Characteristics at Google Analytics: This website uses the “demographic characteristics” function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain information on the age, gender and interests of visitors to the site. This data comes from interest-based advertising by Google as well as from visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be attributed to any specific person. You can disable this feature at any time by changing the ad settings in your Google Account, or generally prohibit Google Analytics from collecting your information as described in the “Opting out of data collection” section. Storage Duration: Data stored by Google at user and event level, which is linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g., User ID) or advertising IDs (e.g., DoubleClick cookies, Android advertising ID), is anonymized or deleted after 14 months. Please see the following link for details: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/7667196?hl=de

Google Analytics Remarketing

This website uses the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. This feature allows you to link the advertising audiences created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been customized for you on one device (e.g., cell phone) based on your previous usage and browsing habits can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC). Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google Account for this purpose if you have given permission. This allows the same personalized advertising messages to be displayed on any device you sign-in with your Google Account. To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to help us define and create audiences for cross-device advertising. You can opt-out of cross-device remarketing/targeting permanently by turning off personalized advertising, which you can do by following this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/

The aggregation of the collected data in your Google Account is based solely on your consent, which you can give to or withdraw from Google (article 6 paragraph 1 letter a DSGVO). For data collection operations that are not merged into your Google Account (e.g., because you do not have a Google Account or because you have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on article 6, paragraph 1, letter f) DPA. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes. Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in the Google data protection declaration at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. As part of Google AdWords, we use what is known as conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that the web browser places on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to identify users personally. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we may recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected through the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted into conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to identify users personally. If you don’t want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out of this use by disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie on your web browser under User Preferences. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. The storage of “conversion cookies” and the use of this tracking tool are based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. More information on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or, in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Google DoubleClick

This website uses features of Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, (hereinafter “DoubleClick”). DoubleClick is used to display interest-based ads throughout the Google advertising network. DoubleClick can be used to tailor the ads to the interests of each viewer.  For example, our ads may appear in Google search results or in banner ads associated with DoubleClick. To serve ads to users based on their interests, DoubleClick must be able to recognize the viewer. For this purpose, a cookie is stored in the user’s browser for the websites visited by the user, clicks and various other information are stored. This information is combined into a pseudonymous user profile to display advertising that is relevant to the user’s interests. Google DoubleClick is used in the interest of targeted advertising. This constitutes a legitimate interest in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time. You can set your browser so that it no longer stores cookies. However, this may result in a restriction of the accessible website functions. In addition, we would like to point out that DoubleClick may also use other technologies to create user profiles. Disabling cookies, therefore, offers no guarantee that user profiles will no longer be created. For more information on how to opt-out of Google’s ads, please see the following links: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

 and https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated

  • Plugins and Tools

YouTube

This website incorporates videos from the YouTube website. The website is operated by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit one of our websites that embeds YouTube, a connection is made to YouTube’s servers. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. YouTube may also store various cookies on your device. These cookies enable YouTube to obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to gather video statistics, improve the user experience and prevent fraud. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to associate your browsing habits directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. YouTube is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in the YouTube Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

Vimeo

This website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. When you visit one of our sites equipped with a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also obtains your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. The information collected by Vimeo is transferred to the Vimeo server in the USA. If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to assign your browsing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account. Vimeo is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online services. This represents a legitimate interest in the sense of Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If consent has been requested (e.g., consent to the storage of cookies), the processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; consent may be revoked at any time. Further information on the handling of user data can be found in the Vimeo Privacy Policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. When you open a website, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. To do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This enables Google to know that this website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If your browser does not support Web Fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer. Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in the Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

Google Maps (with consent)

This website uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To ensure the privacy of this website, Google Maps is disabled when you first enter this website. A direct connection to Google’s servers is only established when you activate Google Maps independently (consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). This prevents your data from being transmitted to Google the very first time you enter the site. After activation, Google Maps will save your IP address. This is then usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer after Google Maps has been activated. You can find more information about the handling of user data in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The purpose of reCAPTCHA is to check whether the data input on this website (e.g., in a contact form) is done by a human being or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For analysis purposes, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, time spent on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is taking place. The data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting their web offers from abusive automated spying and from SPAM. Further information on Google reCAPTCHA can be found in the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Terms of Use at the following links: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de

Scope and Purpose of Data Collection: If you send us a job application, we will process your associated personal data (e.g., contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) to the extent that this is necessary to make a decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG-neu under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO (general contract initiation) and—if you have given your consent—Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. Consent may be revoked at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be passed on to persons involved in the processing of your application. If the application is successful, the data submitted by you will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG-neu and Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b DSGVO for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Duration of Data Storage: If we are unable to make you a job offer, you reject a job offer or withdraw your application, we reserve the right to store the data you submit with us for up to 6 months from the end of the application procedure (rejection or withdrawal of the application) on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). The data will then be deleted, and the physical application documents destroyed. The storage serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (e.g., due to an imminent or pending legal dispute), the data will only be deleted when the purpose for further storage no longer applies. A longer storage period can also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO) or if legal storage obligations prevent deletion.
